Training · Cohort workshops · Executive briefings
Half- and full-day cohorts that ship a working automation, security plan, or AI voice agent by the end of the session — not slideware.
Four flagship sessions — each pairs with a matching service offering so attendees have a clean path from training into implementation.
Every session is built around a tight loop: teach a concept, apply it to your business, ship something real. Slides are kept to under 30% of session time; the remainder is hands-on lab work using your own tools, processes, and data (no synthetic case studies).
Cohorts run 6–25 people for high interaction. Larger groups can be split into parallel breakouts with a co-facilitator. Onsite delivery includes a working lunch and printed playbook; remote delivery runs on Zoom with a shared Miro board and a private cohort channel that stays open for 30 days post-workshop.
Pairs naturally with Scott's full service catalog (workshops convert into implementation engagements at a 15% workshop-attendee credit) and keynote / panel appearances for larger conference audiences.
- SMB owners & founders: Want to ship one real automation or security improvement per quarter without hiring a full-time CTO.
- Operations leaders: Run finance, ops, or service delivery and need to translate AI hype into measurable process gains.
- MSP & IT firm teams: Sharpen the team's automation, security, or AI voice playbooks to add billable services.
- Healthcare & legal practices: Need HIPAA-aware or compliance-aware training, not generic SaaS workshops.
- Property management groups: Consolidating IT across portfolios and want a repeatable automation + security baseline.
- B2B SaaS startups: Founders stepping into a CTO role need a playbook for hiring, vendors, and AI governance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who are these workshops for?
Owners, operators, and technical leads at U.S. small and mid-sized businesses (typically 10–250 employees) who want hands-on, applied training rather than generic vendor pitches. No prior coding experience is required for the AI Automation, Cybersecurity, or AI Voice sessions. The Fractional CTO Playbook assumes some operations or IT background.
Are workshops delivered onsite or remotely?
Both. Onsite delivery is available across Texas (Houston-based) and major U.S. metros for cohorts of 6–25 people. Remote delivery runs via Zoom with a shared Miro board and a private Slack/Discord channel for the 30-day follow-up clinic. Onsite sessions include all materials and a working lunch.
Do I get a certificate or CPE credits?
Each attendee receives a signed certificate of completion listing the workshop, date, and learning outcomes. We do not currently issue CPE credits, but the Cybersecurity Essentials workshop maps to common CISSP/Security+ domains and can be referenced toward professional development hours where your employer permits.
What's included after the workshop?
Every session includes a 30-day follow-up clinic: one 60-minute office-hours call where attendees can ask implementation questions, plus async access to Scott via the cohort channel. Workshop participants also receive a 15% credit toward a follow-on engagement with Scott (fractional CTO retainer, automation build, or compliance program) if booked within 90 days.
Can you run a private workshop for my company?
Yes. Most engagements are private cohorts run for a single company's leadership team or operations group. Pricing is fixed-fee based on duration and travel; remote private cohorts start at a half-day rate, with onsite delivery quoted separately. Contact Scott to scope a private session.
